GoDaddy is a software provider that offers both email and web hosting services. But is GoDaddy HIPAA compliant? The answer to this as well as GoDaddy HIPAA email are discussed below.
Is GoDaddy HIPAA Compliant: GoDaddy HIPAA Email
For a software provider to be considered HIPAA compliant, they must have security measures in place to secure data, and they must be willing to sign a business associate agreement.Â
Security Features
HIPAA requires healthcare organizations to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information (PHI). This is accomplished through the implementation of HIPAA safeguards. GoDaddy offers the required security features such as encryption for their Advanced Email Security users, but not for users on the basic plan.

Business Associate Agreement
Even when a software provider has all of the required security features to be HIPAA compliant, if they are not willing to sign a business associate agreement, it cannot be considered HIPAA compliant. GoDaddy is willing to sign a business associate agreement with Business Premium or Premium Security Office 365 account holders.
